The Academic College of Tel Aviv-Yaffo
Academic excellence and contribution to the local community have been at the heart of the College's vision since its establishment. The Academic College of Tel Aviv-Yafo was founded in 1994 as a non-profit public institution, and within less than two decades has made substantial progress in realizing its vision.
The College's four schools offer six BA programs and five MA programs. 4,000 students are currently enrolled in the College, which already boasts 8,000 graduates. Our alumni have amassed significant achievements in academia and business, as well as civic activities and public initiatives.
The schools of Management & Economics, Computer Sciences, Behavioral Sciences and Government & Society offer students a range of study programs that encourage inspiring and collaborative dialog among various disciplines.
MTA curricula are rigorous and challenging, and the faculty is committed to high quality teaching and active, ongoing research. The College's "open door" policy helps students cope with both the demanding study requirements as well as with personal problems.
The location in Yafo poses a real challenge for the College – to serve as a catalyst for social change, particularly in the field of education. MTA's activities in this field are founded on the belief that the closing of educational gaps requires long-term, fundamental solutions. These solutions start with enriching and nurturing experiences for elementary school pupils that continue throughout high school. One of the aims is also to change their attitudes towards higher education in general. MTA's educational initiatives currently involve every public school in Yafo, as well as a number of schools located in south Tel Aviv.
A clear link can be drawn between the Academic College of Tel Aviv-Yafo's investment in its students, and its efforts to nurture and develop youths in the community – as both objectives are driven by the strong belief that humans are a valuable resource which should never remain undeveloped.
