School of Computer Sciences
The School of Computer Sciences' standing as a leader in its field was achieved thanks to its intensive studies program and its aspiration for excellence, both theoretical and practical, and commitment to providing students with a true intellectual challenge. In the Quality Assessment report published by the Council for Higher Education, the School was ranked among the best in Israel.
The School offers an undergraduate degree program (B.Sc) in Computer Sciences and a graduate program (M.Sc) (without thesis) in Computer Sciences. Additional programs include an undergraduate degree combining Computer Sciences with Economics and Management.
The School offers a diverse range of specializations and combinable majors: Management and Entrepreneurship, Communications and Internet, Artificial Intelligence, Software and System Engineering, Computer System Management and Theoretical Computer Science.
The unique curriculum combines theoretical and practical studies. Practical aspects are enhanced via collaboration with leading companies such as Microsoft, IBM, Intel and more. These opportunities give graduates a clear advantage over alumni from other institutions, making them very sought after in the work market – both in Israel and overseas.
Dean of the School of Computer Sciences – Prof. Michal Parnas
Prof. Parnas has a PhD from the Hebrew University, and is a lecturer and active researcher in the field of randomized and approximation algorithms. Prof. Parnas jointed the College's faculty from its very inception. Under her leadership, the School's staff contributed to the development of advanced infrastructure that helped establish the School as one of the finest educational institutes for computer sciences in Israel.
