M.Sc. in computer science with concentration in theoretical computer science 

 

The program is designed to establish and enrich theoretical knowledge relevant to current research topics in computer science. The program is highly recommended for students considering working towards a Ph.D. in Computer Science.

The curriculum:
A. Regular degree requirements

1. Three required courses - 11 credit units

2. Seminar - 3 credit units

3. Electives - 24 credit units, of which at least two courses must be practical and a maximum of three courses from undergraduate work.

4. Written proficiency exam.

5. Final project or paper - 10 credit units.

B. Additional program requirements

As part of the 24 credits of electives, students must take at least 12 credit units of courses from the following list: Advanced Topics in Data Structures, Advanced Algorithms, Graph Theory, Algebra for Computer Science, Algorithms for SAT Problems, Seminars defined as relevant for computer science theory
