B.A. in economics and management, with a specialization in entrepreneurship management

General

The objective of this specialization is to train managers and economists to integrate and function easily in an entrepreneurial environment that is innovative and productive, and to provide them with the tools to set up and manage ventures. The curriculum is based on an infrastructure of courses designed to grant knowledge and expertise in the fields critical to entrepreneurship. 

The studies in the specialization are designed for students who want to be entrepreneurs, economists or managers of organizations developed from a new initiative, which have an entrepreneurial environment or in which there is entrepreneurial activity.

During their studies, students are introduced to ventures in a variety of fields, including business entrepreneurship, initiatives within organizations and social non-profit entrepreneurship. In addition to the electives, students will conduct an entrepreneurial field project in teams.

The design and implementation of the projects will be done jointly with organizations such as The Governance of Jaffa run by the Tel Aviv-Jaffa Municipality, Jaffa Port Authority, Young Entrepreneurs Israel, The Center for Jewish-Arab Economic Development and more. 

In addition to the program’s courses to be given by the faculty of MTA, guest lecturers from venture capital companies and business consultants will also give a number of lectures
.
Studies in the specialization are concentrated in the third year of study.
Acceptance into the specialization will be granted to a limited number of students based on their academic achievements and a personal interview. The interviews will be conducted during the second semester of the second year of study.

  *You can choose an additional elective in the field of specialization (total six credit units) instead of an elective in management.

• The entrepreneurial process in high-tech

• Marketing for new ventures

• Entrepreneurship as a resource for innovation and social change

• Financing ventures, venture capital and growth

• Management accounting

• Practical project: Business entrepreneurship (preparing a team business plan)

or year-long mentoring in the Young Entrepreneurs program
